    GEC launches a new project: “Enhancing transparency and effectiveness of procurement processes at the Mediators Association of Georgia”

    The Mediators Association of Georgia (MAG) is a membership-based legal entity under public law established on 14 December 2019 on the basis of the Law of Georgia on Mediation. The objectives of the Association are: Regulate mediators' activities and make mediation generally available; Develop a profession of mediation and determine issues related to mediator qualifications; Ensure effective private and judicial mediation process; Make mediation a frequently used instrument for alternative dispute resolution and other.

    The objective of the project is to enhance the transparency and efficiency of procurement processes at the Mediators Association of Georgia. The project aims to develop a Procurement Policy and a Procedural Guidebook to ensure professional, transparent, and ethical procurement processes by MAG and deliver a training course to MAG’s relevant managers and staff to master effective procurement techniques, ensure the highest professional, transparent and ethical standards in procurement transactions and maintain appropriate reporting.

    The project is being implemented by USAID’s Human and Institutional Capacity Development Activity in Georgia.
