    GEC launches a new project: “Development of Modern and Effective Public Relations Management Practices and Tools at the Mediators Association of Georgia”.

    The Mediators Association of Georgia (MAG) is a membership-based legal entity under public law established on 14 December 2019 on the basis of the Law of Georgia on Mediation. The objectives of the Association are: Regulate mediators' activities and make mediation generally available; Develop a profession of mediation and determine issues related to mediator qualifications; Ensure effective private and judicial mediation process; Make mediation a frequently used instrument for alternative dispute resolution and other.

    The goal of the project is to enhance Association’s communication with the public. This activity aims to systematize the Association’s public relations and communication practices through the institutionalization of effective communication tools and mechanisms. Through this consultancy, GEC team will:

    • Develop a comprehensive one-year PR/communication action plan specifying target audiences, target media, key messages, practical tactics, responsible managers and staff, and needed resources;
    • Provide recommendations for effective use of communication tools, including social media sources;
    • Provide ongoing coaching to MAG’s PR manager and other relevant managers in implementing the action plan;
    • Develop a PR/communication action plan evaluation report based on six months’ implementation results with recommendations for necessary improvements

    The project is being implemented by USAID’s Human and Institutional Capacity Development Activity in Georgia.
